GRANT FUNDING

We are always on the lookout for grant funding and were fortunate enough to be awarded a grant by Skipton Building Society back in late 2018 as part of there Grassroots Giving initiative for community projects.

DONATIONS

There are many ways you can donate to the Bridge View Light Railway. We would gratefully accept the following: -

Become a member and offer your free time to us!
Card or Cash donation in the ticket office/shop.
Support us on easyfundraising shopping website.
Donate unwanted household items such as books, dvd’s, tools, and more for our Pre-Loved stall in Russell’s Garden Centre.
Donate tools & equipment, and/or materials to help us build the railway.
Donate 7 ¼ gauge railway equipment or heritage railway items.
Contact us if you have anything else to offer!

Our biggest aim is to re-use and recycle. Nearly everything we have achieved so far is from donation or diverting other peoples waste back into use.

DID YOU KNOW?

All of our track sleepers are made from recycled plastic.
All of the track edging boards, and slabbing are from dismantled garden patios!
The station canopy was once a feature in a garden centre entrance.
The signal box has plastic glazing originally used for display panels in an office reception.

The list is genuinely endless, and our members are relentless in their quest to find and reuse materials.
